oUR clUB
Since 2021, our players have been training, competing, and improving together as a team. After growing in numbers and ambition, we decided to break off from our old club and form a new one; a community that reflects who we are and what we believe in.
We are determined to thrive as an inclusive and competitive development team, funneling all of our resources into championing the amateur game, and most importantly, keeping it enjoyable for all involved.
Named after the street where we all first met — on our training ground in Cantelowes Gardens — Camden Road WFC was officially founded in 2024. We play matches all over London, but proudly represent our home borough wherever we go.
A small club for now, we're starting with one team, and a whole load of ambition. So whether you're a player or supporter, we'd love to have you along for the journey!

London's amateur women's football scene is growing and we are so proud to be part of this. There are womxn in every household, workplace and university that want to play football for fun and for the love of the game. They all deserve a safe and welcoming space to play, no matter what their lives look like.

Club LEADS: Anna short & Kirsty Graham
Anna & Kirsty met at the start of the team's journey in 2021. Their heavy involvement in the team led them to being captain and vice-captain of the squad. That clearly wasn’t enough for these two, so they founded a new club and promoted themselves to co-directors.They started Camden Road WFC to keep their close-knit group of football friends united and provide a space where players feel valued and are treated fairly.
They both work in the creative industries as audio professionals, and could honestly tell you much more about sound design than football tactics, but that's where the rest of the team comes in!
