Camden Road WFC was founded in 2024 simply to keep a group of football friends playing together.
These friends had been training, competing and improving together for three successful seasons, but the club they belonged to was moving in a different direction, and the team was at risk of losing each other. For captain and vice-captain Anna and Kirsty, it was a no-brainer. They promoted themselves to co-directors and formed a brand new club; one that truly valued and appreciated its players.
Named after the street of our training ground where we all first met, Camden Road WFC was officially launched 2 years ago with one team and a whole load of ambition. It now runs three teams, with over 150+ registered members, ranging from complete beginners to 11-a-side league winning champions, giving women a place to play no matter their ability or experience.
We are determined to thrive as an inclusive and competitive development team, funnelling all of our resources into championing the amateur game, and most importantly, keeping it enjoyable for all involved.
We play matches all over London, but proudly represent our home borough wherever we go. So whether you're a player or supporter, we'd love to have you along for the journey!

COmpetitive football, without the pressure
London's amateur women's football scene is growing and we are so proud to be part of this. There are women and enbies in every street, workplace and university that want to play football for fun and for the love of the game. They all deserve a safe and welcoming space to play, no matter what their lives look like.

Daniel’s passion for individual player development, as well as his tactical insight has been game changing for the club, guiding many of us to improve our skill and overall understanding of the game.
